MICRONEEDLING
Improve the tone and texture of your skin with this innovative device
Microneedling is a minimally invasive treatment using a titanium device with small needles, which is rolled over the face to create tiny punctures, forcing the skin into repair mode. The device is even gentle enough for the delicate eye area. Microneedling can be used to treat:
- Uneven skin texture
- Large pores
- Stretch marks
- Acne scarring
- Loss of volume
- Lines and wrinkles
- Dull skin
- Pigmentation
When your skin needs to be repaired, it produces more collagen and elastin, which has restorative plumping effects on the skin. It helps to improve skin texture, reduce the appearance of scars, sun damage, ageing and stretch marks and provides a youthful glow. By creating tiny punctures in the skin, the skin produces a wound healing response and skin cells are renewed.
YOUR TREATMENT
Our Microneedling specialist will discuss your concerns and decide on a tailored treatment programme. The procedure starts with numbing the face with an anaesthetic cream, and a Dermaroller or eDermastamp (EDS) device is applied to the face or body in a rolling motion depending on your specific needs. The number of sessions required will depend on your skin condition and treatment area, but typically patients will have between three and five treatments in four to six-week intervals.
Downtime lasts from a few hours to one or two days and includes redness, mild swelling and red patches.
You will notice an immediate plumping effect, and clients often feel that the skin texture has improved around one week after your treatment. You can also expect continued improvement to your skin for up to six months with a 400% increase in collagen and elastin.
